Determinants of Accident Status on Student Commuters of Jabodetabek in 2019

Traffic accidents among students are one of the problems experienced in Greater Jakarta area. World Health Organization (WHO) stated that younger drivers most vulnerable group to experiencing traffic accidents, including students. According Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), it was estimated as many 301,120 Jabodetabek commuters had a accident 2019. Moreover, 13 14 out 100 who student or with main activities going school. Therefore, this study conducted determine factors affect status 2019 and their odds ratios by using Commuter Survey data. The analytical method used is binary logistic regression parameter estimation penalized maximum likelihood (PMLE). And results showed variables age, gender, last education, mode transportation, classification area residence, distance traveled, activity significant influence on commuters. Furthermore, live rural areas have highest tendency experience accident.
